NHS South West London ICB has appointed Dinah McLannahan as its new Chief Finance Officer.
Dinah will join in December 2025 on a 12-month secondment, bringing more than 25 years of NHS finance experience across acute, mental health, community and system roles.
Most recently, she has been Executive Finance Lead for the Black Country Provider Collaborative and System Financial Improvement Director for the Black Country. She was previously Chief Finance Officer at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, where she led major capital and service developments, including the opening of the Midland Metropolitan University Hospital in October 2024.
Dinah began her NHS career as a nurse, qualifying in 1995 before moving into finance. She has worked in many parts of the NHS and brings extensive experience in senior finance roles and supporting improvement across services. Her experience will support NHS South West London ICB as it continues to strengthen its financial position and improve care for communities across south west London.
On starting her new role at NHS South West London, Dinah said:
“I’m delighted to be joining NHS South West London at such an important time and look forward to working with teams across the system to build on the great work already underway.”
Katie Fisher, Chief Executive of NHS South West London, said:
“We are really pleased to welcome Dinah to the team. Her experience across different parts of the NHS will be a real help as we keep working to make the best use of our resources and support good care for local people. I would also like to thank Helen Jameson, our outgoing Chief Finance Officer, for her leadership and commitment to South West London over the past three years, and wish her every success in her new role.”
