Dinah is an experienced NHS finance leader with over 25 years’ experience across acute and system-wide roles in the West Midlands. Most recently she has been working as Executive Finance Lead for the Black Country Provider Collaborative, (BCPC) alongside a Black Country System Financial Improvement Director role. The BCPC is a formal collaborative of the four acute and community trusts in the Black Country system, driving forward service improvement, resilience and productivity improvement opportunities under the leadership of a shared Chair.
Previously, Dinah served as Chief Finance Officer at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, where she led major capital and service developments most notably for the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, which opened in October 2024. Her career has spanned senior leadership roles in Mental Health, Community and Acute provider backgrounds as well as NHS Improvement.
Dinah also has a clinical background, qualifying as a nurse in 1995. After a short spell in general medical ward nursing, she specialised in Cardiac medicine and surgery at Southampton General Hospital, working her last shift in September 1998 before beginning accountancy training.
